Laser Printer Toner

There are several important differences between laser printer toner and inkjet toner. Laser toner is a dry, powdery substance, while inkjet toner is a liquid. Laser printer toner is contained within a roughly rectangular shaped cartridge typically between nine and twelve inches long. Depending on the model of printer you use and whether or not it is color, there are further variations.

The manner in which the image is printed with laser printer toner is also very different from an inkjet printer. An inkjet printer essentially sprays ink directly onto a piece of paper through many miniature nozzles. Laser printer toner is applied by an electrical charge which fixes an image to the printer drum, a fuser then heats the toner so that it applies to the paper that rolls underneath it.
